About the Research Centre

The Research Centre at North Campus was founded in the year 2021. The research centre is committed to foster innovation, knowledge and excellence across various disciplines. Currently we offer research programmes (Integrated PhD) in disciplines of Computer Science, English, Management Studies, Botany and Computer Sciences & Engineering (CSE).  

 

Objectives:

  • To design and provide a platform for quality research by adhering to the highest ethical standards and professional practices.
  • To support multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research across various disciplines.
  • To design and provide a platform for quality research by adhering to the highest ethical standards and professional research practices.
  • To be committed, focused and a strong hub of all research activities in University of Kashmir.
  • To work and collaborate with other premier national and international research institutes of great repute and to carve its own niche on the research map.

Mission

The Research Centre is committed to conduct original survey research, qualitative research, quantitative research, data research, applied and cultural research that inform scholarship, knowledge, and decision-cum-policy making. The Centre also focuses on establishing and developing research relationships, both within the university and outside, NGOs, and various other research agencies and institutions.

Vision

This Research Centre aims to evolve as one of the leading research centres not only in Jammu and Kashmir but also across the country. It also aspires to emerge soon as a reputed multidisciplinary-cum-interdisciplinary research institute with a global recognition.

Message from the Coordinator

It is my privilege and honor to welcome you all to the Research Centre at North Campus, University of Kashmir. All Universities have a mandate to carry out research as part of their mission to learn, grow and contribute to the knowledge economy and society. This, in turn, contributes directly and indirectly to their primary mission of teaching. In view of this fact, the creation of a separate research centre here in the North will definitely give a boost to research  and will make this Campus more meaningful and vibrant.
