Assistant Professor

My research and teaching interests span Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Bihofuels, Genetic Engineering and secondary metabolites. I did my masters from Pune University and then I joined CSIR-IIIM, Jammu as a Phd Scholar and completed my PhD in 2011. subsequently I worked in the Dept. of Bioresources as Contractual Lecturere for one year and then move to University of Delhi to join ICMR Potdoctoral Fellow for six months. sonn after this I went to South Africa and Joined as a prestigious Vice Chancellors Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Pretoria. I was awarded with another SA's prestigious Postdoctoral Fellowship by NRF(NRF-Freestanding Postdoctoral Fellowship). In February, 2016 I was awarded Prestigious Energy Bioscience Overseas Fellowship (Re-entry fellowship) by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, GOI, New Delhi. Soon after on 31st March 2016 I was appointed as Assistant Professor, Botany. I have delivered ectures at many national and international awards and fellowships. More recently I have been awarded with Bioenergy Awards for Cutting Edge Research (B-ACER) by Indo-US Science and Technology Forum and Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India.
