Assistant Professor
Hello visitor!
A university classroom is typically filled with young people having varying abilities. My biggest strength as a teacher lies in the ability to inspire students to bring out their best. As University faculty, we need to remain abreast with the latest in pedagogy and technology. Thus, I follow a habit of collecting my personal level feedback at the end of each semester. It helps me in constant improvement.
My research interests stem from the subjects I have been teaching- high performance computing, computer architecture, etc. In particular, my focus rallies around computer architecture and its capabilities for enhancing the performance of computing systems. Computations, at the lowest level, are carried out by the underlying machine and keep on increasing in their sheer volume and complexity. At the same time, the processor is already approaching its physical limits in terms of clock frequency and component density. Thus, the industry is relying more on architectural improvisations (viz. exploiting parallelism at all levels) encompassing issues such as interconnection networks, shared memory architecture, cache coherence, and many more. With quality literature resources such as Proceedings of the IEEE, ACM Computing reviews, ACM SIGARCH,etc.,the research potential in this field is vast.
An academician must also contribute toward institutional development. Discharging a meaningful role in committees and contributing in decision making truely harnesses the intellect acquired through teaching and research.
Human beings are bestowed with many qualities, some of them being more apparent than others. And I believe we can never flourish in isolation but only by exchanging ideas and experiences. You are most welcome for a dialogue on self development, academic challenges and institutional issues.
